Love it All

Yesterday I took a walk along my shoreline under the most magnificent clear blue sky with the sun finally making a rare appearance!  Absolutely breath-taking or should I say breath giving. I proceeded to make my descent of the 108 stairs down the bluff to be welcomed by the warm sand under my bare feet. The water very cold this time of the year as it is the pacific ocean making it’s way in through the Pugent Sound. Along the walk to my lighthouse I passed many others enjoying the gifts of the day, Mothers with their children, men with their dogs, families and soloist such as myself. There were people in kayaks, people flying kites, some digging in the sand, everyone seemingly at peace and in a joyful state.

I was singing “what a wonderful world” as I danced with the water while it playfully urged me with its cool agile caress. This is just too easy to be in one with such grace and beauty, of course who could not love it all in these moments.

However can I look into the eyes of someone who is judging me and still love them. Or the angry driver who cuts me off with no regard for my safety. The hateful, bias and menacing behavior of those in the world that only understand control through greed and fear, can I love them too?  Can I love a tsunami that claims the lives of many.

Yes, can we love it all. To see in everyone’s eyes their true essence as our own reflection. Accepting the shadow that is us, not good or bad, right or wrong, light or dark ~ just that it is.

Love is not a doing ~ love is allowing. Love is not holding or worshipping. Love is the acceptance of everything as it is. It begins with the acceptance of your right to be and the right of others to be. Love is the affirmation of another’s value; when you can look into the eyes of another and see yourself, see truth, see God.

Our true power is to love freely, not fearing rejection or pain. To forgive unconditionally, without judging anyone or anything.
When we begin to filter with our hearts and not with our heads, seeing beyond duality, staying neutral; we may find ourselves ~ loving it all.

Loving it all with Gratitude,
Lisanne
